Busy Breather Backpacks are sold directly via website and at trade shows
When my son was born 3 months premature, his lungs were severely underdeveloped. After spending 4 months in the neonatal intensive care unit, I was excited to finally get my little boy home. This happiness, however, was overshadowed by fear about my baby on oxygen 24 hours a day for at least the next year. Along with this fear was my frustration of having to carry a purse, diaper bag, bottles, oxygen and more. I searched for a better way to carry all of these items, but found nothing. So I decided to design my own oxygen bag that could organize these necessities. My bag made my life a lot easier, especially since my son and I were on the go almost every day. I knew that this bag could help mothers like me, and others that have to be on oxygen, get back to their busy lifestyle with greater ease and efficiency.
So far, yes. I have sold about 1,400 backpacks since December of 2008, selling to several oxygen companies and a medical wholesaler that distributes my products to various oxygen and DME companies. Additionally, I sell directly to the consumer via my website and at trade shows. Recently, I worked with my wholesaler to improve the design, adding about 27 more products. In the future I hope to add more products, and introduce them to the mainstream market.
